Edward Allan “Buck” Boone passed peacefully away August 20th, 2011 surrounded by family and friends at Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital on Bell Island .B uck was “80 and a bit.” Buck is predeceased by his father and mother, William and May (nee Hart), brother Cecil, son Robert, daughter May and grandson David Foley. Buck is survived by his wife of 57 years,Vera (nee Skanes) and his children: Carol (Dave) Foley, Donna (Steve) Fitzgerald of Bell Island, NL, Deb (Charl) Hamilton of Paradise NL, Maurice (Kathy) Boone, Trevor (Michelle) Boone of St. John’s, NL, Sharon (Billy) Foley, Lorne (Stacey) Boone, Scott (Shelly) Boone, Anna (Wade) Parsons of Cambridge, Ont. And Marilyn (Randy) Brown of Georgetown,Ont. and 5 brothers, 3 sisters, 23 grandchildren,16 great-grandchildren and special nephew Gary Boone. Buck’s family thanks the wonderful Doctors, nurses and staff of the Health Science Centre, CCU and the Dr. Walter Templeman hospital for their care and support this past week. Buck is resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home, Bell Island, on Sunday August 21st and Monday August 22nd from 12 noon -9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 23rd at 10:30 a.m. from United church Bell Island.
