Sorrell, James “Jim” – 79, Truro, passed away August 20, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, he was a son of the late Leo and Ethel (Sallows) Sorrell. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Hiltz-Sorrell; children, Debbi (Jim) Fitzgerald, Gillam, Manitoba; Jim Sorrell, London, Ontario; Jodi (Austin) Richardson, Glen Haven; grandchildren, Shawn, Sarah, Stephanie and David; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Rianne; siblings, Leona Kelly, Tom Sorrell, Jake Warren; step-children, Georgina, Kevin, Angela, Kimberley, Lisa, Greg and Durene; step-granchildren, Jessica, Timmy, Michael, Brandon, Jennifer, James, John, Tyler, Craig and Nicole; step-great-granddaughter, K.C. Mae McNutt. Jim was predeceased by his first wife, Joan (Hendsbee) Sorrell; grandson, David; brother, Bud. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23rd from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, August 24th from 7-9 pm in Haverstock’s Funeral Home, 121 School Street, Canso; funeral service on Thursday, August 25th at 11:00 am in Christ Anglican Church, Queensport, Guysborough Co. with Rev.
