December 14, 1922 – August 22, 2011. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital after a lengthy illness on Monday, August 22, 2011, Mary Day of Dildo in her 88th year. Predeceased by husband Douglas, son Barry, parents Samuel and Alfreda Gill and sister Alvina. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life with thanksgiving are three sons: Samuel (Eileen), Bruce (Ruby), Rex (Edwina) and daughter-in-law, Linda Crawford; eight grandchildren: Lisa-Marie, Melanie, Bruce, Kristy, Cameron, Stacy, Cory and Courtney; two great-grandchildren: Isobel and Liam. She is also lovingly remembered by sister Floss; as well as a number of nieces, nephews other extended family and friends. Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo on Tuesday, August 23, 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral. The funeral service will be held from Trinity United Church, Blaketown on Thursday, August 25 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow St. John’s United Church Cemetery, New Harbour.
