PURDY, Leona “Lee” F. - 84, Elmsdale, passed away peacefully at home on October 6th. Born in Scotch Hill, NS, she was the daughter of the late Cameron and Tina (Whitty) Head. She is survived by son Jim and wife Adrienne (Burke) Purdy; daughter Lynn and husband Allan Tuttle; grandchildren Shaun, Kirsten, Katie, and Bridget; great grandchildren Stephanie and Shamus; brothers Milford Head and John McBeth; sister Margaret Danells. She was predeceased by her husband William Owen, brothers Robert, Vernon, Fulton and Bill, sister Marion. We would like to extend our heart felt thanks to Dr. Iain McNeil and the palliative care team who supported and helped us immeasurably. Mom’s mentorship and belief in all of us will be sadly missed. The energizer bunny has gone home. No visitation by request. Funeral mass will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 9th at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Enfield, Father Andrew Rembarczyk presiding.
