It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of William Schafer on August 19, 2011 at the age of 86. He is survived by his loving wife Ruby, daughter Marlene (John) Morrison, grandson John (Karen) Morrison, granddaughter Trina (Ernie) Pearce, and four great-grandchildren Cole, Haley, Dawson, and Noelle. The family would like to thank Dr. Dautremont and the staff of Extendicare for their excellent care and compassion. At Bill’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and there will be at Private Family Celebration of his life at a later date.
