The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 of Hazel MacDonald of Summerside, aged 81 years. Born in Freeland, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Paugh) Boyle. Survived by her daughter June Ellis; son Kenneth (Doris) Palmer; grandchildren Korey Palmer and Tanya Ellis Comfort (David); great-grandchildren Amanda, Charlotte and Benjamin; brother Stanley (Lillian) Boyle; and by a sister Vivian Birch. Predeceased by her first husband Sterling Palmer; second husband Ronald “R.J.” MacDonald; children Georgie Pearl, Sandra Lynn and Sharon Lee; brothers Arnold and Keith Boyle; and by sisters Ruth Morrison and Lillian Foster. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Friday, then to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Lot 11, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Lot 11. Visiting hours Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Memorial donations to the P.E.I. Lung Association or St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
