Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home on Monday, August 22, 2011, Howard Thornhill a member of Grand Bank Masonic Lodge, aged 91 years. Leaving to mourn his wife of 66 years Sylvia; children Marlene (Dave Fleming), Bill, Linda (Paul Hand), David (Patricia), Bob (Sheila) and Janet (Joe Mills); eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home for all their care. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday from 7-9 and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Cremation will follow visitation. Funeral service will be held at a later date and will be announced in The Telegram.
