Simle (Sept. 23, 2009), daughter-in-law Terry Lee (Jones) Simle (1976), baby granddaughter Meghan Katherine Williams (1989), brother & sister-in-law Leonard & Helen Hill, brother Roger Hill, and sister-in-law Phyllis (Simle) Porter (2008). Margaret is survived by her loving family: son Gord (Carolyn) Simle of Calgary, AB., daughter Patricia (Mark) Collins of Atlanta, GA., and daughter Sharon (Don) Williams of Moose Jaw, SK; granddaughter: Bobbie Lipsit, great granddaughter Karlie Lipsit of Calgary, AB.; grandsons: Matt (Nikki) Collins of Charlotte N.C., Jeff Collins of Washington D.C., Craig (Katherine) Williams of Regina, SK, and Kevin Williams of Moose Jaw, SK.; sister-in-law Wally Hill; as well as many special cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Margaret was born on July 24, 1922 in Stalwart, SK., and grew up in Imperial, SK. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from Regina General Hospital in the Class of 1944. She nursed at, and became Matron of, the Imperial Hospital, and then the Watrous Hospital. It was at the latter that she met the love of her life, Roy Simle. They were married in Imperial, SK on July 30, 1947, and celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary in 2009. They lived in Watrous until moving to Moose Jaw in 1952. Here they raised their three children, and lived on Grace St. for 52yrs. Dad was the manager of the Peoples Jewelers downtown store, but Mom was his most precious jewel. Mom nursed mainly on the 2nd floor surgery ward at the Providence Hospital. Nursing was her passion and her joy! Mom was also a member of M.J. Kinettes and K-ette’s Clubs, and a member of the M.J. Shriners’ Wives. In addition, she frequently volunteered canvassing for various charities, and worked at Blood Donor Clinics. In 2004, they moved into the M.J. Mulberry Estates, and resided there until Dad’s passing from a sudden heart attack on Sept. 23, 2009. Mom later moved into the Craik & District Health Centre, and continued to inspire and amaze us all with her humour, strength, and fighting spirit! To Mom, her family was everything, and we were blessed all our lives to know we were loved by an angel! To us she was our inspiration and the best Nurse, Wife, Mom, Nana and Grandma on the face of the earth! … “She lives on in the sparkle in our eyes, laughing, quiet, gentle, loving, and wise.” Our thanks to all the Staff at the Craik & District Health Centre for not only administering care … but for caring! Thank-you for loving our Mom, for being our home away from home for almost 2yrs, and for being the kind of people who make such a big difference! You’ve all been more than kind, and people like you are hard to find! In lieu of flowers, for those so wishing, donations may be made in Margaret’s honour to the Alzheimer’s Association,#301 2550 12th Ave., Regina, S4P 3X1, or to the Craik & District Health Centre, 620 Mary St., Box 208, Craik, Sask. S0G 0V0. Cremation will take place, with a private inurnment in Rosedale Columbarium to be held at a later date. Mom will be reunited with Dad, with both…“Forever in our Hearts”. In living memory of Margaret, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
