Passed peacefully away on Monday, October 5, 2009 in the presence of her family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Mary Butt of Mt. Pearl, aged 78 years. Predeceased by her husband Josiah (2004) and sister Ruth (2009). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Robert (Heather), Mt. Pearl, Jeffrey (Phyllis), Chamberlains, CBS; four precious grandchildren: Nicole, Nicholas, Allison and Gregory; sister Pamela Graham (Robert), Mt. Pearl; brothers: Albert (Theresa), Fortune, Lloyd (Dorothy), Mt. Pearl, Roy (Clara), Mt. Pearl, John (Daphne), Richmond Hill, ON, Steward (Carolynn), Toronto, ON; brother-in-law Graham Butt (Phyllis), Freshwater, Carbonear; and a large circle of friends and relatives. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Commonwealth Ave. Mt. Pearl with visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service from Barrett’s Chapel in Mt. Pearl on Thursday, October 8th at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
