BLACK POINT – Tomasz Lorenc, 64, Black Point, passed away suddenly, Monday, October 5, 2009.
Born in Lukow, Poland, he was a son of the late Stefan and Leokadia (Konikowska) Lorenc.
Tomasz earned a degree in Journalism in Poland prior to moving to Canada. He was the owner/operator of Beltone Hearing Centre, New Glasgow. Tomasz was very interested in politics, culture and enjoyed cinema.
Surviving are his wife, Ewa (Paszkowska) Lorenc; daughter, Justyna Lorenc, University at Buffalo, Buffalo, New York, USA, and her Fiancé (Phillip Karpowicz), Harvard University, Boston, USA; brother, Roman (Alina) Lorenc, Warszawa, Poland; aunt, Zofia Lorenc; nephew, Szymon (Vesna) Lorenc and family, Warszawa; cousins, numerous friends throughout Canada and Poland.
The family will receive visitors from 1-1:50 p.m. Friday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
