With much sadness, we the family announce her passing on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Seaview Manor, Glace Bay.
Born in Adam's Cove, N.L., she was the daughter of the late Drucella and Edward Baggs.
She was predeceased by sisters, Jean Hudson (Bill) and Hilda Scott (Martin), brothers, Allen, Bill, Fred and Arch and nephews, Lloyd (Wayne), Blenis and grandnephew, Carter.
Lucy is survived by two sisters, Pearl (Melvin) Finlayson, Reserve Mines, and Lillian Hollett, Grand Banks, N.L.; nephews, Bill (Joyce), East Bay, N.S., Roy (Verna), Scarborough, Ont;. and several nieces and nephews.
We would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. P. K. Cadegan for his years of care and Dr. S. Ellerker and nursing staff at the Glace Bay General. Very special thanks also to the caring nurses and staff at the Seaview Manor.
Visitation for Lucy will take place at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Patten Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at 1 p.m. with Rev. John Finlayson officiating. Interment will be at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Grand Lake Road, Sydney.
Memorial donations may be made to the Seaview Manor.
