October 16, 1928 - August 12, 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bertha Rose Lena Zest on August 12, 2011 at Royal Inland Hospital.

Bertha will be deeply missed by her children: Beverley, Pauline (Jim), Holly (Robert), Gordon and Brenda (Robert), her grandchildren: Rhonda, Jennifer, Steven, Tammy, Angela, Corey, Melanie, Aaron, Austin and Daniel and her numerous great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Paul, on December 12, 2010 and her daughter Marleen in 2000.

Bertha was born on October 16, 1928 in Port Arthur, Ontario to Louis and Lena Ross. She was the eighth child in a very large and loving family of 13 children. She moved to Kamloops in 1986 from Ontario where she enjoyed working as a dog groomer for many years. She took great pride in her family and also adored her many poodles over the years. Mom was a very loving and generous woman to anyone who knew her and although she is gone, she will never be forgotten.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated later in September.
