Beda Bader, age 89, of the Good Shepherd Villas in Prince Albert, SK passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2009. Beda is survived by his loving family: his brothers Delore, Wilfred and sister-in-law Joyce as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Emma Bader; brothers Edmund, Richard, Marcel and Wally; his sisters Adeline Frey, Zita Johnson and Pauline Ryan. He was born on September 9, 1920 in the Cudworth area where he was also raised. He led a very colorful life putting his heart and soul into every endeavor he pursued. He spent a year in the Army and upon returning helped his Dad with farming. He was a helicopter dispatcher in Cranberry Portage Manitoba for seven years and was a school bus driver for nineteen years in Mayview before retiring. Beda enjoyed reading and walking. All who knew him marveled at the many miles he walked every day in the pursuit of health. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and soon after required assistance and care. He lived his last years at Good Shepherd Villas where he was cared for, loved and kept safe until his passing. The family would like to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Villas for their compassion and care. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9 from St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9 Street East by Reverend Father George Canto. Interment will take place in the Garden of Memories, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
