FITZPATRICK, GORDON J. - Gordon J. Fitzpatrick, 55, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday August 27, 2011. Born in New Glasgow, NS, he was the son of the late Russell and Muriel (Fader) Fitzpatrick. Gordon was a former member of the Moncton Police Department and was a retired Constable with the Codiac RCMP with a combined service of 31 years. He was a former volunteer and coach with The Moncton Minor Football Association for over 14 years. In past years, Gordon enjoyed golfing, walking, watching all sports especially football, socializing with his friends and spending time with his family. Gordon will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Dawn (McAllister); precious sons, Justin and Shawn (Jennifer), both of Moncton; sister, Paula Balson (Dave) of Whitby, ON; brother, David (Marlene) of Charlottetown, PE; uncle, Edward Fitzpatrick of Halifax, NS; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday from 4 to 7pm. Funeral Service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday August 31, 2011 at 11:00am with Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
