(74 years) of Paradise, passed peacefully away on Aug 27, 2011 in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by parents, Harold and Elizabeth Jane Fleet and sister Iris. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend Joan (Snow), children Terry (Bev) of Paradise, Rick (Sharon) of Mount Pearl, Elaine (Paul Hamlyn) of Mount Pearl, Harold (Lisa) of Paradise. His greatest joy was found in his grandchildren Natasha, Lacey, Michael, Rhonda, Richard and Leah. He also leaves to mourn brother Dick (Hope - deceased) Fleet of Mobile, Betty (Pat) Dunphy of Mount Pearl and Grace (Neil — deceased) Piccott of Mount Pearl, many much loved nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends and relatives. Harold served as a councillor for the ‘town’ of Mount Pearl and was active for many years within the 'town' as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 36, the Lions Club and a sponsor of Fleet Realties Hockey and Softball teams. His fondest memories were of his time served overseas as a Paratrooper for the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI). Visitation to take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl on Monday Aug 29 from 2-9PM, and on Tuesday, Aug 30 from 2-4PM and 7-9 p.m..
