Passed away after a brief but very brave battle with cancer, Linda Morris, age 63. Predeceased by her parents William Garland Ivany and Irene Daisy Ivany. Left to mourn with a broken heart is her loving and devoted husband of 43 years and best-friend since she was sixteen Winston. Also left to mourn are her beloved children, daughter Leanne, who provided her with loving care during her illness, and sons Stephen (Iva), Glen (Debbie) and Michael (Chrissy). “Nanny” will be forever missed by her cherished grandchildren who gave her so much love and joy over her last eleven years, Ben, Sarah, Anna, Max and Jake. Also left to mourn is a large circle of family and friends. Linda loved dogs and had a special way with them. She was very proud when her beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lucky, obtained his CKC Championship a few months ago. Linda faced her painful illness with great dignity, courage and faith, she did not complain. Whenever the nurses or doctors asked how she was feeling she always said “pretty good” and gave them compliments. Linda and her family would like to give special thanks to the nurses on 5 South A of the Health Sciences Complex for their wonderful care, kindness and compassion as well as to Doctor O’Brien and the other doctors who assisted in her care. At Linda’s request there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at Corpus Christi Roman Church on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Linda had great faith in her religion and especially loved Corpus Christi Church. Therefore, in lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church.
