Passed peacefully away on August 23rd, 2011 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, aged 74 years. Predeceased by wife, Phyllis (nee Hussey), parents Edward and Phoebe White, father-in-law Allan Hussey, and sister-in-law Tootsie Galardi. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories children: Jeanne Butler (Jim), Geoff White (Kathy), Heather White, and Kim Kirby (Steve); precious grandchildren: Jillian and Jared Butler, Liam and Shea Kirby; also dear friend Kay Barrington; brothers: Harry (Dorothy), Fred (Joan), Wins (June), and Bruce (Debbie); sister Joan House (Dave); mother–in-law Beatrice Hussey; brother-in-law Joe Galardi; sisters-in-law: Frances Bishop (Harvey), Judy Kiss (Gerry), and Allison Butt. Fondly remembered by a large circle of other relatives and friends, with special mention of his long time friends from Mahers. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for their care and guidance. The children wish to express a heartfelt thank you to Kay for her dedicated care and support. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Tuesday, August 30th, 2011 from 12-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and on Wednesday, August 31st, 2011 from 10 am-12 pm. Funeral service to be held at Barrett’s Chapel on Wednesday, August 31st, 2011 at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
