Peacefully, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, of Roger K. MacKinnon of Winsloe, in his 69th year.
Survived by his wife, Patricia (Aylward); daughter, Lori (Paul MacDonald), Paul’s children, Dylan and Alexandra, all of Souris; son, Jamie (Nikki Likely) and proud Grampie Roger to Brianna, Keegan and Sam of Hampshire. Brother of Gary (Marlene) and Brian (Viola) MacKinnon. Survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and his uncle, Angus (Bud) (Phyllis) Livingstone. Also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Isabel (Leonard) Myers, Emmet (Diane Robison) Aylward, Rita (Cummiskey) Aylward, Claire Aylward and Joe (Sherrie Gunter) Aylward.
Predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Mary MacKinnon; father and mother-in-law, John and Tillie Aylward; brothers and sister-in-law, Donnie, Gerard and Eileen Marie Aylward; aunts, Kay (Earl) Carrier, Annie (Harold) Taylor; uncles Bert, Boyd, David, Neil and Ralph Livingstone.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment in Dundas United Church Cemetery.
Family flowers only, however if so desired, memorials to P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Center or the Charlottetown Food Bank would be appreciated.
Visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
