KIERSTEAD, MILLICENT GERALDINE (nee BAGLEY) - (1927 - 2011) - Millicent Kierstead of Rexton, NB passed away peacefully at Hôpital Stella Maris in Ste. Anne de Kent, New Brunswick on Saturday, August 27, 2011 – her 84th birthday. Millie was born in Fredericton, NB. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Bagley (nee SHAW). Millie will dearly missed by her son William Kierstead (Vivian), daughter Susan Kierstead (Colin MacKenzie) and grand children Meaghan Kierstead of Halifax, Abigail Kierstead of Rexton, Noal Smith of Vancouver and Christopher Smith of Ottawa. She will also be missed by her brother, Harry Bagley and sister Betty MacDiarmid (nee Bagley). Millie is predeceased by her husband, George Kierstead, her brothers Lee Bagley, and Richard Bagley and sister Muriel Barnes (nee Bagley). Millie was a devoted wife and mother. She lived in Hamilton Ontario for the majority of her life. While there she was an active member in her Church and Community until she returned to her beloved Maritimes to spend her retirement years close to her grandchildren. We will miss you Nana and we are thankful for your wisdom, counsel and unconditional love. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers: Loney Hudson, Jennifer Trivett. Alex Cochrane, Cindy Noel, Joan Cochrane and Claudette Richard. Your love and patience will not be forgotten. The family is also thankful for the staff at Hôpital Stella Maris, Dr. Stephane Collette and the Kent County Extramural staff for the care they provided till the end.
A memorial Service will be scheduled for a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in Millie’s memory are encouraged to contribute to the Bonar Law Memorial Scholarship Trust, or the Hôpital Stella Maris Hospital Fund.
