Passed peacefully away at The Agnes Pratt Home on August 29, 2011, Pearl Marie Penney, age 81 years, formerly of Ochre Pit Cove, NL. Predeceased by her husband Bertrum Penney; parents Beatrice and Eli Halfyard; brother Wallace Halfyard. Leaving to mourn are nieces: Marie Hendry (Rick), Kathy Best (Philip); great-niece Samantha; great-nephews Wayne Hendry, Chris Hendry and Jonathan Best. The family would like to thank the staff at The Agnes Pratt Home for their loving, competent care provided to our Aunt. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held from Wesley United Church on Thursday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Pearl's memory to The Agnes Pratt Home.
