Carrington Pentecost
Lieu de décès : Nova Scotia, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Date de décès : 29 août 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our little angel Carrington at the IWK Children's Hospital on August 29, 2011, after her long battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
She was the heart and soul of her family. Despite her illness, she faced each day with a smile. She had a rare ability to make everyone she met instantly fall in love with her. She was courageous beyond her years, and an inspiration to us all.
Carrington attended Bras d'Or Elementary School where she would have entered grade four. She formed everlasting relationships with her teachers, staff and friends. Carrington loved to dance, and was a member of DNR Dance School.
She loved spending time with her Dad and brother, and her idol, her Mom. They shared a special bond, and an overwhelming love between the two of them, no matter what they did.
She leaves to cherish her memory her parents Daddy Robert (Buddy), Mom Tracy (Bonar) Pentecost, and little brother Matthew; grandparents Poppy Carl and Nanny Marie Bonar, and Nanny Shirley Pentecost; uncles Leo (Rose), Danny (Denise); aunts Kim (Billy) Marks, and Shauna (Sean) Moore; cousins Jimmy, Leo and Grant; several great aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Our princess is now at rest with her poppy Arthur Pentecost, Aunt Callie and Uncle Louie Simpson.
Thanks to the Children's Wish Foundation, she was granted her wish this past December, and went to Disney World. She was invited to be the honourary princess at the annual Princess Tea Party, where with her Mom and Auntie Shauna she got to thank and tell her story, and we got to introduce our princess to everyone.
We would like to thank Dr. Hughes, Paula, and all of the staff at the IWK, and Dr. Link and the staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for all of your support and care that was given to Carrington.
Visitation for Carrington Pentecost will be held in the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines today (Wednesday), August 31, 2011, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life will take place on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d'Or, with Fr. Peter MacLeod officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. A reception will be held in the Millvillle Community Centre after the burial.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
But by the moments that take our breath away.
