Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre after her courageous battle with cancer on August 27th, 2011, Elizabeth (Liz) Pike, age 58 years old. Predeceased by her parents Jim and Sadie (Lawlor) Burke, sister-in-law Arlene Ford, and father-in-law Frank Pike. Leaving to mourn, her best friend and loving husband Derek of 36 years; children: Krista (Ronald), Andrew and Lisa; brothers: Jim (Rosemary), Tom (Denise); sisters: Maureen Burke, Kay Abbott (Ron), Bernice Brenton; mother-in-law Clara Pike, brothers-in-law: Rick (Kathy), Robert (Cathy), Lloyd Ford; sisters-in-law: Judy Pike, and Cynthia Pike; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, especially her dear friend Sheila Messerschmidt (Ronald). Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Manuel’s on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 1 p.m. with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
