The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, of Ralph Edward "Eddie" McKenna of Summerside and formerly of Hamilton, Ont., aged 51 years. Eddie was born in Oakville, Ont., on Dec. 6, 1959, to his late parents Ivan and Shirley (nee Williams) McKenna. Loving companion of Joan Frizzell of Summerside and loving father of Angie (Jason) Hilliard of Alberta. Also lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren Mark, Mariah, Jordan and Logan. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Butch, Carol, Joe, Barb, Paul and Leonard. Also survived by Joan's children Steven, Josina, her son Cobain and Brianne. Besides his parents, Eddie was predeceased by brother Bobby, sister Marilyn, grandchild Teagan and his best buddy Zukie boy. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Thursday, Sept. 1, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Memorial donations in Eddie's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or to the Funeral Expense Fund would be greatly appreciated.
