Ardellice Lucille Bardswich, 93, passed away on her birthday, Aug. 30, 2011, at the Arborstone Enhanced Care Facility in Halifax.
She was the daughter of the late Rufus and Carolyne (Williams) Sweet. Dell married Anthony Bardswich in 1940.
She was a loving mother to her son, William and his wife, Marie, Sudbury, Ont. and her daughter, Amelia Curran (the late ‘Doc’), Little Bay, Nfld. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Michelle (Colin), Paul (Natasha), Mark, David (Amber), Cyndy, John and Connie (Garame) and her great-grandchildren, Laura, Julia, Jennifer, Jessica, Colin, Katrina, Jacob, Ciran and Ronan. She will be sadly missed by her sister, and best friend, Prudy Leslie and her brother, Victor.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony in 2000 and by four sisters and six brothers.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Arborstone Enhanced Care, her family doctor, Doug Kohlsmith, Sydney Mines and her many neighbours and friends.
Visitation Friday from 7-9 p.m. in Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, North Sydney, with Fr. Patrick O’Neill officiating. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
