Passed away peacefully in Cowansville, on April 24th, 2025, at the age of 86, resident of Abercorn, son of the late Richard Irwin Sr. and the late Janet Moffat.
Leaves to mourn, his twin sister Judy, two younger sisters Catherine and Elizabeth and other relatives, all of his dear adventure buddies and friends.

Richard was best known as an adventurer. He was an expert canoeist and made major wilderness canoe trips, all of which he documented by film and photos. He canoed most of the major rivers in Canada. He also loved hiking, cross-country skiing (participated ski marathons), and winter camping. In his early years, he was a part-owner of a small plane and also belonged to a gliding club.

A Celebration of His Life will take place on May 17th at 1:30 pm at the All-Saints Anglican Church Hall in Dunham (3829 Main Street)
Refreshments will be served.
