Patricia (Hynes) Campbell

Lieu de naissance : Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada

Lieu de décès : Glace Bay, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Date de décès : 4 septembre 2011

As the sun rose on a beautiful summer morning, as the circle of life evolves, our Heavenly Father took Patricia to become one of his angels. Patricia took God’s hand and went to Heaven with her parents Dave and Ursula (Whalen) Hynes, brother J.O. and former husband Stephen Campbell. Patricia passed away Sept. 4, 2011, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Patricia often said, God’s country here on Earth was Main-a-Dieu, where she met her husband Stephen. At times, she would say God made it and forgot it ... her own private joke. Patricia’s life was a struggle with her illness since childhood. She faced life head on and took every challenge given, and there were many.
Patricia was a proud coal miner's daughter. She loved her mother’s cooking, her father’s love for sports and the many family gatherings with her 10 brothers and sisters. You could always find her listening to her Jim Reeves, Bobby Vinton and Ink Spot records.
Her greatest personal treasures were her children and grandchildren, son, David (Sherry), and children Shaylene, Blair and great-grandchild Jayden, all of British Columbia; daughter, Patsy (Buddy), and children Stephen, Ryan, Amber and Abbie, all of New Waterford. She is also survived by brothers, David Hynes, New Waterford, Andy (Helen) Hynes, River Ryan, Dougie (Barb) Hynes, Tony (Yvonne) Hynes, both of Glace Bay; sisters, Barbie (Kevin) Van Hove, Sally O’Brien, both of Edmonton, Alta., Sherri (Kevin) Holland, Debbie (Tom) LeBlanc, both of Glace Bay, Alice Lahey, Louisbourg.
Friends are welcome to join family for hugs, tears, smiles and stories about God’s newest angel on Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anne’s Church, Glace Bay, with Fr. Leo Boone officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Glace Bay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia.
“We shall pass through this world but once, and if there be any kindness we can show or good we can do, let us do it now, since we shall never pass this way again”
