At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, of Leonard Frederick Paynter of Freetown, aged 68 years. Born in Summerside on July 10, 1943, son of the late Frederick and Lucy (Pickering) Paynter. Husband of Honor (Bolivar) Paynter. Father of John Paynter, Freetown, and Karen Stewart, Cornwall. Grandfather to Kristi, Chase and Brock Stewart. Brother of Jean (Sheldon) Neill, Oyster Bed Bridge; Eva Mullin, Charlottetown; and Amy Palmer, Summerside. Son-in-law of Margery (MacKay) Bolivar, Bridgewater, N.S., and the late Arthur Bolivar. Brother-in-law of Mary (Gordon) Wescott, Calgary, Alta.; Joey (Grace) Bolivar, Bridgewater, N.S.; and Donald (Anne) Bolivar, Calgary. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Tuesday from 6:30-9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday in the Kensington United Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery, Freetown. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Cancer Society or the Special Olympics of Prince Edward Island.
