It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Sandra Hulford on Oct. 9, 2009, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Jack And Helen (Walters) Hulford.
Sandra later moved to New Waterford in 1949 with her parents and siblings. She spent sometime in Ontario and later moved back home. Sandra worked for General Instruments. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, scratch tickets, she was a true fan of the Blue Jays, and loved them no matter how good they were playing.
Sandra leaves to mourn her two loving daughters, Shanna Hulford, Sydney, and Karen (Curtis) Leon, Coxheath; sisters, Donna (Brian) Naismith, Helen Antle, Kathy Hulford, Sheila Hulford, all of New Waterford; brothers, Jimmy (Sylvia) Hulford, New Waterford, David ( Elaine) Hulford, Cole Harbour; sister-in-law, Sheila Hulford, Middleton; along with three beautiful grandchildren, Micheline, Wyatt and Norah; as well as many nieces and nephews and many great friends. She also leaves to mourn her special ‘bud’ Amber.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Judith White, brother, John Hulford.
Visitation for the late Sandra Hulford will take place Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. in the All Saints Anglican Church, New Waterford, with Rev. Stacey LeMoine officiating. Interment will be in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will be held immediately following the funeral service downstairs in the church hall, all are welcomed to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre or All Saints Memorial Fund.
