Brian Everett Marney
Marney, Brian Everett, April 19, 1944 – September 6, 2011, passed away suddenly in Hilden as he would have wished, in his camp in the woods, where he loved living amongst nature and all its bounty. Brian enjoyed his lifestyle. Brian was a hunter, fisher and all around outdoors kind of guy. He loved to garden and feed the rabbits from his doorstep. Born in Truro, he was the son of Jean (Ripley) and the late Edward Everett Marney. Survived by mother, Jean Marney, Brookfield; daughters, Tanya (Simon) Robinson, England, Teri (Rod) Gregg, Halifax, Shelly, Bible Hill; grandchildren, Calli, Troy, Matthew, Sophie; sisters, Marion (Gary) Cameron, Indian Point, Barbara (David) Bartlett, Hilden, Audrey Bolles, Montana, Kathryn (Paul) Mosher, Halls Harbour, Claudia (Robert) Burns, Millsville; sister-in-law, Helen Marney; several nieces and nephews; close friends, Marie, Carl, Gordi and many other neighbors; furry and faithful friends, Lady and Fluffy. Brian was predeceased by brother, Lyman Marney; brother-in-law, Chester Bolles. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. with memorial service on Saturday, September 10 at 2 p.m., all in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy of Canada, 101 Research Drive, Dartmouth, N.S., B2Y 4T6.
