Oct. 25, 1921 - Sept. 7, 2011 (Retired CN Engineer). Predeceased by his wife of 60 years Rebecca. Leaving to mourn his children: Linda (John Adams), St. John's, Daphne (Douglas Legge), Dartmouth, Eric (Josephine), St. John’s, Ruby (Harry Andrews), Blaketown, and Robert (Judy), St. John’s; a special sister Linda Josephine Tucker, St. John’s; 12 grandchildren: Karen, Donna, Janet, Heather, Penny, Susan, Jennifer, Nancy, Krista, Kim, Rebecca and Walter; 20 great-grandchildren; as well as a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, and from 10 a.m.- 12 noon, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral Service to take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. No flowers by request.
