Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday Oct. 12, 2009, Margaret Mary Bannister, age 87 years. Predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Robert Barrett, and three brothers, Patrick, Robert John and Ambrose. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, husband Gilbert Neil; sons, Neil Robert (Judith) and Carl (Joan); three grandchildren, Jane Bannister (John Bowden), Cody, and Chad Bannister; one great-granddaughter Lucy Bowden; special friend Nancy Thomson; and a close circle of friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday Oct. 13, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday October 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow at Carnell’s Funeral Home Visitation and Reception Centre, 1045 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl.
