Passed peacefully away with grace and dignity at Chancellor Park Nursing Home on Oct. 11, 2009 in the presence of her family. Evelyn Rendell in her 87th year. Formerly of Bell Island, Grand Falls, Foxtrap and St. John’s. Predeceased by her husbands, Lloyd Rose of Bell Island and Len Rendell of Grand Falls; her parents Richard and Rachel Atkins; her sisters Emmie, Clara, Mary Jane, Laura, Elsie and brother Joe. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted sister, Winnie Neary (Gerald), St. John’s, and brother Will in Ontario. Also numerous relatives, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Chancellor Park for their care of Evelyn during her time of residence there. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday Oct. 12, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday Oct. 13, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday Oct. 14, 2009 from Barrett’s Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Topsail United Cemetery.
