Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer on September 6, 2011 at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, Judy Pieroway, age 59 years. Predeceased by her parents, George and Eva Broomfield and brother Edward. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Roy; children: Stephen (Jen), Christopher (Cali), Allison Stordeur (Andrew); three precious grandsons: Nicholas, Oliver and Joshua; brothers: Bob (Rosalind), Paul and Tom (Pam); sisters: Betty Breen (Stan), Ruth Caines (Tom), Joan Korzeniowski (Greg), Debbie Bachly (Brian); sister-in-law Evelyn (Ed’s wife), and many loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Drs. Rorke, Norman and O’Shea and the staff at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic as well as the very caring staff at the Palliative Care Unit. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may visit the family at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Craigmiller Avenue.
