Clyde passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, aged 79.
Beloved husband to wife Bea, father of Anne, James (Karin) and Susan (Steve); loving grandfather of Lief, Katie and Jessica.
Predeceased by sister, Mildred and parents, Perley and Tina, Clyde leaves behind sister, Thelma (Jim) in California and brother, Edgar (Renee) in Cape Breton.
Born in Sydney, N.S., Clyde was a graduate of Sydney Academy and Acadia University ('53). He was a gifted athlete and a lifelong educator, becoming the first principal of Philemon Wright High School, then an executive with school boards in western Quebec and northern Manitoba.
Friends and family are welcome at the Tubman Funeral Home, 3440 Richmond Rd., Ottawa, Ont. from 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shepherds of Good Hope are appreciated.
