Passed peacefully away with her daughter and son-in-law at her side at the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. L. A. Miller Centre on Saturday, September 10, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer, a kind, caring and gentle soul, Alma Kelloway. Predeceased by her husband Charlie (2006) and son Wayne (1999). Leaving to mourn her daughter and best friend Wanda, whom she lived with for the last few months ( Wanda’s husband Blaine Dooley, and son Michael), son David (wife Rhonda, sons Bradley (Nimarta) and Mitchell), and Wayne’s children Stephen (Amanda, son Tristan) , Susan Agerbak ( Jeff) and Heather Geddert (Lowell, daughter Brier) (and their mother Verna). Her siblings Mollie Cornick (Walter, deceased), Rance (Ruby), Randy (Eileen), Berkley (Judy). Brothers and sister in law Walter Boland, Harold Burt, Joyce Crocker, Loretta Kelloway and Elmore Winsor. She was predeceased by her parents Randolph and Susan Crocker, brother Bill, sisters Florence Boland, Olga Burt and Rita. Special thanks to Dr. Jeff White and Diane of the Paradise Medical Clinic and the kind and compassionate nursing unit at the Palliative Care Unit. A special thanks to all of the extended family and friends who helped with visitation at both hospitals and home. Alma will rest at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s, NL, on Monday, September 12, 2011 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will held at the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Avenue at 2:00 Pm, on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 followed by interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery on Blackmarsh Road.
