HUBBARD, Thomas John “Tommy” – 87, Hubbard’s Point, passed away September 3, 2011 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born in Hubbard’s Point, Tommy was a son of the late John Germain and Alice (Doucette) Hubbard. He loved playing crib, going hunting, gardening and puttering in his shed. He is survived by his children, Yvette Hubbard and Bev (Gary) Muise, both of Hubbard’s Point; sisters, Frances (Theodore) Foster, Hubbard’s Point, Beatrice (Leance) Moulaison, Amirault’s Hill, and Rose (Morgan) Holder, Timberlea; grandchildren Scott, Amanda, Bradley and Stephanie, and 4 great grandchildren. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Joan Hubbard; brothers, Clifford Muise, and Raymond “Peige” Hubbard. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, with visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. and prayers at 8 p.m. on Tuesday September 6. A funeral mass was celebrated on Wednesday September 7 at 11 a.m. in Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, Ste. Anne du Ruisseau, with Father Wieslaw Papuga officiating. Internment was in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Tommy’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
