JARVIS, Albert Eugene – 61, Yarmouth, passed away on Sunday September 4, 2011 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born in Pleasant Lake, he was a son of the late Clarence Jarvis. Eugene lived in Halifax, and worked for the city of Halifax for years. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Herbert) Jarvis, Yarmouth; son, Floyd A. Jarvis, Windsor; daughter, Tanya (Mark Gerein), Victoria, BC; sisters, Vera (Glendon) Jarvis, Greenville; Irene Thomas, Yarmouth; Evalena Jarvis, Yarmouth; aunts, Alferetta White, Halifax; Hilda Stevens, Halifax; uncle, Gerald (June) Herbert, Reynoldscroft, Shelburne Co; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Besides his father he was predeceased by a brother, Malcolm J. Jarvis. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. Visitation was from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday September 9. A celebration of life was held on Saturday September 10 at 2 p.m. in Huskilson’s Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Pennell officiating. Internment will be held at a later date. The family has requested no flowers and that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
