Passed away at the Agnes Pratt Home on September 9th, 2011, Miss Frances Bursey, aged 90 years, formerly of Change Islands. She is predeceased by parents Phillip & Edith Bursey; siblings: one sister, Elizabeth Diamond; three brothers: Gerald Bursey, Rev. Jonathan Bursey, Max Bursey; nephews: Carl & Ernest Diamond. She leaves to mourn several nephews: Philip Bursey (Joan), Raleigh, NL, Gerald Bursey (Pam), Ontario, Gary Bursey (Wanda), Gander, NL, David, Bazel and Barry Bursey, USA, Lewellan (Martha) Diamond, Change Islands, Eric (Margaret) Diamond, St. John’s and Jeff Bursey (Doreen) Welsford, NB, (whom she considered the son she never had); also one niece, Clara (Roy) Moore of Change Islands , and a large circle of relatives who meant so much to her. Also her many close friends and care givers of the Agnes Pratt Seniors Home, St. John’s, where she lived for 29 years. The funeral service was held at Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Monday at 2:00 p.m. Interment in St. Matthew’s United Church Cemetery. There will also be a special memorial service at the Agnes Pratt Seniors Home, St. John’s, Wednesday September 14th at 2:00 p.m. There are no flowers by request, donations to the Agnes Pratt Seniors Home, St. John’s will be gratefully accepted.
