BASQUE, AURÈLE - 1933 - 2011 - Aurèle Basque, 78 of Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Sainte-Anne de Kent, passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Tuesday September 13th, 2011. He was married to Doréa (Pitre) Basque of Villa Providence. Born in Tracadie on April 21st, 1933 he was the son of the late ExiIda Basque and the late Maturin LeClair. He will be sadly missed by his wife Doréa, and his nine children; Jeannine Cormier (Joseph) and Thérèse Collette (Johnny) of Bouctouche, Nicole Basque (Sandy MacMillan) of Rexton, Jean-Paul (Anne) and Robert (Juanita) of Sainte-Anne de Kent, Gérald (Manon) of Saint-Charles, Gilles (Rose) of Saint-Ignace, Jean-Claude (Monica) of Elsipogtog, and Denis (Linda) of Saint-Antoine, his fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn six sisters; Lucianna Collette (Léo), and Mélodia Chiasson of Sainte-Anne de Kent, Dorina LeBlanc (Joseph), Elizabeth Young (Edmond) and Demerise Johnson (Lionel) of Bouctouche, Roselda Nini (Albénie) of Allardville and one brother Alvin Benoit (Germaine) of Neguac and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one son Maurice, two sisters; Béatrice and Bernadette, one brother Vincent and his step-father Pierre Benoit.
Visitations will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Wednesday, September 14th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Church on Thursday, September 15th, 2011 at 11:00 am with internment in the parish cemetery.
