He was predeceased by his father Makoto Kika in 2001.
Dennis was born in the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops on April 2, 1951 and grew up in rural Westsyde.
Dennis loved the outdoors and his work reflected this. He worked in forestry, mining and lastly his own gardening and landscape business. His work took him to Calgary, Clearwater, Tumbler Ridge and back to Kamloops.
In November, 1991 Dennis married Janice and returned to his roots when they purchased a home in Westsyde where they have resided for the past nineteen years.
Dennis loved socializing with people and his interests involved his many friends. He loved his Blazers' hockey games, hunting, participated in floor hockey and his greatest passion was fishing. He enjoyed canning and smoking his catch which he shared with many. Each year he put in a vegetable garden and was proud of his produce. Dennis acquired his father's bonsai trees and was very particular and protective about how he cared for them.
During his healthy years Dennis was a man of all seasons. He will be deeply missed by his wife Janice, his pets Mia, Radar and his family and friends.
