Regina ‘Kitty’ Ware, 61, of Florence passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Alder Point, Kitty was the daughter of the late John and Sadie (MacLean) Boutilier. She was a member of St. Anne Parish, Alder Point.
Kitty worked at the Campbell’s Soup Company in Mississauga, Ontario for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Kenny King, Florence; daughters, Doreen (Alain), Jennifer (Dave), both of Ontario, Nichole, New Zealand and son, Sammy. She is also survived by sisters, Beverly Davison, Jenny (Skip) Gray, Sylvia Campbell, all of Ontario, Grace (Stan) Ellis, Alder Point, Loretta (Bob) Ellis, Newfoundland; brother, Ricky (Cathy), Ontario and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Kitty was predeceased by her daughter, Suzie; brothers, Dougie, Coey and a sister, Stella.
According to her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, Main Street, Sydney Mines. The funeral mass to celebrate Kitty’s life will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anne Church, Alder Point, with Fr. Peter MacLeod officiating. The burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bras d’Or.
Donations in Kitty’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
