Peacefully at the Garden Home on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 of Mrs. Bernadette Florence Horgan (nee Hughes), RN of Charlottetown, in her 82nd year.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Horgan. Cherished mother of Mary Beth (John) MacMillan and grandmother of Emily Kate (Brody Fogarty), Jenna Bernadette (Glen Compton) and Joseph and great-grandmother to Liam. Bernadette was predeceased by her sisters, Mary (Wilfred MacIsaac), Helen (Everett Toombs), Gladys (Alex Bulloch), Jean (Walter Curry) and brothers, Frank Hughes and Arthur (Bea) Hughes.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Friday morning, then transfered to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
If so desired, memorials in Bernadette's memory may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
Visiting hours at the funeral home Thursday 4 to 6 p.m. Members of the Holy Redeemer CWL will gather at the funeral home for a prayer service for their late sister Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Members of the Charlottetown Hospital Nurses Alumnae will gather at the funeral home for a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
