Dorothy Evelyn MacNutt-Reid
Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, of Dorothy Evelyn MacNutt-Reid of Summerside, and formerly of Charlottetown and Malpeque, in her 89th year.
Born in Hamilton on September 21, 1922, the last surviving member of the late Keir and Mary (Craig) Woodside family. Wife of the late Dougald MacNutt and the late Gordon Reid. Mother of Allan (Fay) MacNutt, Moncton, N.B.; Garry (Faye) MacNutt, Charlottetown; and Elizabeth “Betty” (Gary) Newman, Halifax, N.S. Mother-in-law of Georgie MacNutt, Spring Valley. Grandmother to Douglas (Catherine) MacNutt, Derek MacNutt, Shelley (Tim) Wolfe, Shawn MacNutt, Tammy (Kris) Ford and Richard (Keshia) MacNutt. Great-grandmother to Tyler Ford, Dilan Ford, Noah Wolfe, Gabriel Wolfe and Emma MacNutt. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by sons Clair MacNutt, and Richard MacNutt who died in infancy; brothers, Lester (Charlotte) Woodside, Harold (Esther) Woodside; sisters, Alma (John) MacNutt and Barbara (William) Thompson.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Friday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery, Malpeque.
