Francis Paul Montesano (Frank) passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 surrounded by family members, at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, his wife Verna, sister Rose, brothers Michael, Dominic and Henry and by his nephew Colin.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Stella; nieces and nephews: Lynn, Carol, Penny, Angela, Maria, Anna, Patricia, Mick, Henry, David and Robert and their families and by step daughter, Jackie and her family. Uncle Frank will also be missed by his good friends Caroline and Darlin in Vernon.

Frank was born on August 21, 1916 in Prince Rupert, B.C. He and his wife Verna lived on Okanagan Lake in Vernon for most of their married years. Frank moved to Kamloops two years ago to be closer to family. Uncle Frank will be most fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humour, attention to detail and impeccable manners. He was a true gentleman.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Botha, the staff at the Kamloops Seniors' Village, Royal Inland Hospital (Emergency Department and 6 North) for their wonderful care and support. We would also like to thank the very special people at the Kamloops Hospice House who took such excellent care of Uncle Frank.

As per his wishes Frank has been cremated.

A Catholic Mass in his memory will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 255 Nicola Street with Father Vincent officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House, 72 Whiteshield Crescent South, Kamloops, BC V2E 2S9 would be greatly appreciated.
