Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming–
“Wow! What a Ride!”
— Hunter S. Thompson
The family of Dave Evans wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude for the extraordinary kindness and consideration shown them by David’s friends, employer and co-workers after his recent passing in Edmonton, AB. David leaves many to miss him - his soulmate Linda Gilarski, brothers Raymond (Reggie) and Scott (Connie), sister Gay (Seamus), nephews Duane (Jean), Todd (Kelly), Timothy, Brennan, Kristen (Michelle), nieces Aine (Jack) and Brandy (Joe) and grandnephews Kayden and Lucas.
David never said no to an adventure with Linda - they travelled near and far, and almost every day of his life involved ‘vehicles’ from tagging along with his older brother tinkering on his friend’s cars, to teaching Gay how to drive when she was 12 – he was 8, to many years of racing in BC and Alberta with Scott.
The family especially wishes to thank Marc Charbonneau for everything, for helping in every way and at any moment there was a need. David knew you would be there.
David’s employer, Aspol Motors, has created a bursary in his name for student mechanics who may need assistance to purchase tools. If you would like to contribute to the bursary please send your cheque to - Dan Schilds, Aspol Motors, 1125-102 Avenue, Dawson Creek, BC, V1G 2C2.
