The death occurred peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, of Marion Sampson, formerly of North Rustico Harbour, age 91.
Marion was the beloved wife of the late Clarence Sampson. She is survived by her sisters, Edna Sampson, Theresa (Pete) Krischuk, Virginia (Tom) Flaherty; brothers, Richard (Jean) Gauthier, Francis (Margaret) Gauthier, Clarence (Marlene) Gauthier; sister-in-law, Jeanette Gauthier; special niece, Patricia (Lloyd) Larkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Clarence, Marion was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Angelina Gauthier; sisters, Mary (James) Callaghan, Margaret (Michael) MacDonald, Annie (Frank) Kennedy and Lucy (Earl) MacLeod; brothers, Joseph Gauthier, George Gauthier and Wilfred Gauthier; two infant sisters, Christie and Dorothy; sister-in-law, Dianne Gauthier; and brother-in-law, Cornelius Sampson.
Resting at the McNeill Room of Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, for visitation on Friday, October 16, 2009, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
The CWL will hold a prayer service on Friday evening at 5:45 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Church Cemetery. Due to severe allergies please refrain from wearing scented products.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Marion’s memory to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or Stella Maris Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
