Mom passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.

Predeceased by her loving husband John (Jack) in 1997, Peggy is survived by three children: Brenda Morse, John Smailes and Joan Smailes all of Kamloops, her granddaughter Jennifer Morse currently attending UBC, and numerous nephews and nieces all in England.

Peggy was born in a small mining village in the northeast of England and came to Canada and Kamloops in March 1966. She worked at Super Valu in Kamloops Square and Thompson Park Mall before moving on to become a cook at Royal Inland Hospital.

The Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive.

Donations in Peggy's name to the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated, in lieu of flowers.

The family wishes to thank Dr. J.F. Malan and Dr. Mabee for their care and treatment of Mom, the RCMP, BC Ambulance Paramedics and Coroner's Office for their support and assistance at the time of our loss.
