Viola M. Daye

DAYE, VIOLA M. - Viola M. Daye, 88, of the Briarlea and formerly of Rothesay, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre. She was the daughter of the late George and Edna (Murphy) Flewelling. Viola was a member of Moncton First Baptist Church, the Idle Hour Group and a past Matron of Frank H.Tingley Chapter #5 Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a former member and church organist at Harrisville United Protestant Church. Viola is survived by her daughter, Susan Lounder (Bill), of Boundary Creek; grandson, Gordie Lounder; granddaughter, Wendy Lewis (George); great granddaughter, Kassidi Lewis; great grandson, Jacob Lewis; step daughter, Alice Holden (Pat), Rothesay; stepson, Ronald Daye Jr., Calgary, AB and their families, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Gordon Snodgrass (1957); second husband, Roy Lutes (1995) and her third husband, Ronald Daye (2001); also, by sisters, Leona, Thelma, Mina, Ada and Mildred; brothers, Don and Wendell.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road (858-1995) on Sunday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Frank H. Tingley #5 O.E.S. Memorial Service at 6:45 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday September 19, 2011, Rev. Audrey Lounder officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Lakeville, NB. Donations in Viola's memory to Harrisville United Protestant Church Memorial Fund or Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
