HARTERY, Thomas Louis (Lou) – April 27, 1926 - September 16, 2011. Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park Nursing Home, September 16, 2011, in the presence of his family, Louis Hartery of Portugal Cove South, age 85 years. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Theresa Hartery. Leaving to mourn his devoted and loving wife of 58 years Agnes (nee Power). He will be dearly missed by his children: Loyola, Brian, Brendan, Terry (Elizabeth), Rose (Karl Reddick), Kevin (Elaine), Paul, Marina, Jeananne (Kevin Power) and Louie (Carla); twelve grandchildren: Nicole, Aimee, Dustin, Jonathon, Ashley, Katie, Bryhanna, Adam, Kyle, Emma, Dustin and Rielly; brother Harry; brother-in-law Harold Power; sister-in-law Anne Battcock (Ed); nieces, nephews and friends. Also left to mourn Lou’s passing are his many special friends and extended family at Chancellor Park. The family would like to say a special thank you to ALL staff at Chancellor Park for your love and care shown to Lou during the past 26 months. Resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Trepassey. Visitation Saturday, September 17, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 1 p.m. - 9 p.m., Monday 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Mass of Christian burial to take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 19 at Holy Redeemer Church, Trepassey. Interment to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Portugal Cove South.
