MERNER, Douglas Joseph – Passed away peacefully in the arms of his devoted wife Paulette, while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 16th 2011, at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre, aged 49 years. Predeceased by his father Dennis J. Merner and sister Heather. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife Paulette (King), sons Gregory and Joshua, mother Barbara Merner, brother Tony (wife Margot) and nephews Justin, Thomas, and niece Claire; sisters-in-law Lucy, Dorothy, Lorraine, Marilyn and Jean; brother-in-law Gerard and many close relatives and friends. Resting at Cauls Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 9:30 a.m from the Basilia of St. John the Baptist Church.
